Amicable, super-friendly stuff, from cleaners to waiters to receptionists. Marvellous and fab location directly on the Los Marinas de Cabo de Gata beach, well-kept facilities.

Actually everything was modern, my next choice again in Retamar. Had fantastic 3 nights in this hotel that's why I enjoyed that. Had an abundant breakfast with dessert and quite many options, for example. The location was favourable and stunning, just next door to the adjacent national park, the airport, and lovely promenade to walk along.

The quality of the equipment of the room and the bathroom. Very Mediterranean and pleasant. We are happy to use a facility of the Barcelo chain again. The outside area also appealed to us very much. The breakfast was also to be emphasized.

The check-in was early and the staff was very attentive and proactive. A single room with a magnificent view over sea, had requested this in advance. Excellent service, even though a few employees were very busy.

The hotel was very clean and the complex with pool was well maintained.
Although the beach is very close, it is a pity that there are no deck chairs and umbrellas from the hotel. It is also not really well maintained, maybe because autumn is not the season at all.

Here's my unfiltered experience
The staff was friendly, and I appreciated the fantastic pools and spa facilities. Activities like live music and yoga added fun to my days. The lack of vegetarian options and some inconsistency in service left me wanting more.

The hotel was about twelve kilometros from Almeria city, but the bus stopped right outside, only one euro each way and seeing the Alcazaba was brilliant.
The only negative about this hotel was the quality of the food, over the years we have stayed in many holiday and business hotels and the food at this hotel needs seriously improving. It was mainly the main courses that looked poor and tasted poor.

Directly located on the beach, from the room you have a lateral sea view. Free parking spaces are available (large car park right next to the hotel). The rich buffet is attractively arranged and presented. Saturday night there was a barbecue outside.
This has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but some hotel guests really do behave like the last humans!

Rooms very clean and comfortable, staff very friendly and most spoke good english. good parking and a very enjoyable few days as a base for useing the Almeria race track. Hotel very quiet but I would expect lots of children during the peak season as the swimming pools and beach looked great.Breakfast was excellent over the four days of the stay.
only complaint I had was the meal in the restaurant on the first night was very poor and I ate out of an evening after that. The main better restaurant was not open at the end of March

We loved the spacious rooms, but the snack bar was really disorganized.

Near Almeria airport, great beach and swimming pools, breakfast was very good too

We were informed about upgrading the room which we did for a more comfortable family suite. Pools were great for the children and easily accessible to the beach.
The bathroom ceiling looks like it had got damaged in the rains and had not been repaired. The children did not have much to do in the evening, there was no games room indoors.
